George Stocker graduated from St Mary’s University Twickenham, receiving his BSc(Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation. He has spent 3 years specialising in musculoskeletal injuries studying how to assess injuries and the best ways of treating them, with exercise, sports massage and taping techniques to name a few. He is a full member of BASRaT and has moved back to his home city of York and is ready to apply his knowledge and experience with us here at Chiropractic 1st.
During his studies George worked with professional rugby teams including Harlequins, London Irish and the Fiji international team as well as at several events such as the London Marathon. He also has formed links with more local teams such as Harrogate Railway FC and Wetherby Women’s RUFC, as first team sports therapist.
George first became interested in the world of injury treatment after his own rehabilitation following cancer treatment at the age of 9. During his treatment he also started to fundraise for local charity Candlelighters receiving national recognition including becoming a Yorkshire young achiever, Radio 1 teen hero and carrying the Olympic torch through Wetherby.
